This is the NME Masthead, as you can see the Masthead stands out as the NME logo has a 3 dimensional font in bold white, the black background makes the letters stand out a lot more as its a white on black colour way. This is the Name given on the front of the magazine and acts as a logo. The masthead is done in this way to standout and be eye-catching. NME stand for 'New Musical Express'.

This is the Billboard Masthead, as you can see its in sans serif font, this means its in a more modern and basic font. This is good as it fits the theme of the magazine, which is music. The masthead has different colours inside the circle areas in the letter which stands out and adds on to the way the masthead acts as a logo. The letters are coloured black and are very bold which gives it the eye-catching effect.
This is VIBE masthead, this is a very basic sans serif font like the billboard masthead. It has a very bold, big font that is extremely eye-catching. The font is in a very plain colour way, but the back on white makes the masthead stand out more.
This RollingStones Masthead has many good features to it for example its in a bright red colour way in a curly font which is very eye-catching. The masthead also includes a black and grey drop shadow which gives it a 3 dimensional look which draws attention to it. RollingStones magazines are music magazines. Another feature to the masthead is that the font has a thin white outline which brings attention to font and gives it a very nice look.
